Call for Tutorials
Call for Tutorials
Scope & Objectives: Tutorials and industrial workshops at L4DC 2027 will provide opportunities to explore emerging topics and broad industrial challenges at the intersection of learning and control. Tutorials should cover topics of interest to the L4DC community that have reached a sufficient level of maturity for an educational and interactive presentation. Workshops should center on real-world industrial challenges and engineering bottlenecks that can benefit from engagement with the L4DC community. We particularly welcome proposals that complement the main conference program by covering topics, perspectives, tools, or presentation formats that may not naturally fit within the regular technical sessions. The half-day tutorials and workshops aim to foster interaction and discussion among participants and create opportunities for meaningful connections across the community and with industry.
Topics of Interest: We welcome proposals on topics broadly related to the themes of L4DC that are sufficiently developed to support a half-day tutorial. We also invite workshop proposals focused on industrial challenges where input and engagement from the L4DC community would be valuable. Proposals that bridge different areas of the L4DC community, introduce new perspectives, or connect L4DC research with neighboring fields are especially encouraged. We also encourage tutorial teams that bring together organizers with complementary expertise, backgrounds, and perspectives. We also encourage tutorial and workshop teams that bring together perspectives from academia and industry.
Review Process: The review criteria will include:
Originality of the format and suitability for interaction, engagement, and discussion
Prominence and relevance of the tutorial topic related to the themes of L4DC
Clarity and quality of the proposal as well as diversity and experience of organizers
Submission Guidelines and Contact Information: Interested tutorial organizers should submit a proposal (maximum 3 pages) including a list of speakers, schedule, and comments on the format. Please submit this information to the Tutorial Chair, Valentina Breschi (v.breschi@tue.nl), by January 15, 2027, at the latest. For any questions or further information, please reach out to Valentina Breschi.
